Why does eczema itch and what's actually happening?
Eczema – atopic dermatitis – affects up to 20 percent of children and 10 percent of adults. It shows up as dry, itchy, inflamed patches that can crack, weep, and become infected. The itching is the most tormenting part – it disrupts sleep, concentration, and quality of life.

Daily habits that protect eczema-prone skin
Moisturize right after showering
Apply moisturizing products within three minutes of stepping out of the shower, while skin is still damp. This traps moisture and strengthens the barrier. Avoid towels that scrub – pat dry gently.
Switch to soft natural fabrics
Wool and synthetic materials can irritate eczema skin. Choose cotton, bamboo, or silk closest to the body. Wash new clothes before wearing and skip fabric softeners that may contain fragrances.
Keep nails short
Nighttime itching often leads to unconscious scratching that damages skin and opens it to infection. Short nails minimize the damage. Cotton gloves at night can help during acute flares.
Optimize humidity levels
Dry air, especially during winter with central heating, pulls moisture from eczema skin. A humidifier in the bedroom maintaining 40–50 percent relative humidity can make an enormous difference for barrier function.

Frequently asked questions
Is CBG safe to use on children with eczema?
Our products are formulated with minimal ingredients and without fragrance, alcohol, or preservatives. Always consult your child's doctor before introducing new products for atopic eczema. Do a patch test on a small area and wait 24 hours.
Can CBG replace cortisone?
CBG is not a medicine and we don't recommend stopping prescribed treatments. However, CBG can be a valuable complement that strengthens the barrier and calms inflammation between flares, which may reduce the need for cortisone over time.
Why jojoba oil instead of regular moisturizer?
Jojoba oil is technically a wax ester that resembles the skin's own sebum. It absorbs deeply without forming a plastic film on the surface. Many conventional moisturizers contain petrolatum and fragrances that can irritate eczema skin.
Does CBG help with the itching?
Eczema itching is driven by inflammatory mediators, particularly IL-31. CBG modulates the production of these signaling molecules via CB2 receptors. Many users report noticeably reduced itching within the first week, though full effect builds over time.
