CBG Skincare
CBG for eczema – stop scratching, start healing
Eczema isn't about having bad skin. It's about a barrier that leaks and an immune system that overreacts. CBG addresses both problems simultaneously – by speaking to your skin's own cannabinoid receptors.

Why does eczema itch and what's actually happening?
Eczema – atopic dermatitis – affects up to 20 percent of children and 10 percent of adults. It shows up as dry, itchy, inflamed patches that can crack, weep, and become infected. The itching is the most tormenting part – it disrupts sleep, concentration, and quality of life.
The foundation is a defective skin barrier. In people with eczema, the skin produces too little of the lipids and proteins (including filaggrin) that normally keep the barrier sealed. The result is moisture leaking out and irritants getting in. The immune system sounds the alarm, T-cells activate, and inflammation becomes chronic.
The classic treatment – corticosteroid creams – effectively dampens inflammation but thins the skin with prolonged use and doesn't address the barrier problem. Many get trapped in a cycle of flares, cortisone, improvement, and new flares. Skin needs something that strengthens it from within, not just puts out fires on the surface.
Daily habits that protect eczema-prone skin
Moisturize right after showering
Apply moisturizing products within three minutes of stepping out of the shower, while skin is still damp. This traps moisture and strengthens the barrier. Avoid towels that scrub – pat dry gently.
Switch to soft natural fabrics
Wool and synthetic materials can irritate eczema skin. Choose cotton, bamboo, or silk closest to the body. Wash new clothes before wearing and skip fabric softeners that may contain fragrances.
Keep nails short
Nighttime itching often leads to unconscious scratching that damages skin and opens it to infection. Short nails minimize the damage. Cotton gloves at night can help during acute flares.
Optimize humidity levels
Dry air, especially during winter with central heating, pulls moisture from eczema skin. A humidifier in the bedroom maintaining 40–50 percent relative humidity can make an enormous difference for barrier function.
Support your immune system from within
Eczema is driven by immunological imbalance. Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, and adaptogenic mushrooms like Chaga can modulate the immune response. Fungtastic Mushroom Extract supports the endocannabinoid system from within.
How CBG helps with eczema
CBG has a unique profile among cannabinoids. It binds to CB2 receptors in the skin's immune cells – keratinocytes, mast cells, and T-cells – and modulates their activity. In eczema, where these cells produce too many inflammatory cytokines (IL-4, IL-13, IL-31), CBG helps turn down the volume without switching off the entire system.
Additionally, CBG has been shown to support keratinocyte differentiation, the process that builds a functioning skin barrier. That's exactly what eczema skin needs – not just inflammation suppression but active barrier repair.

Frequently asked questions
Is CBG safe to use on children with eczema?
Our products are formulated with minimal ingredients and without fragrance, alcohol, or preservatives. Always consult your child's doctor before introducing new products for atopic eczema. Do a patch test on a small area and wait 24 hours.
Can CBG replace cortisone?
CBG is not a medicine and we don't recommend stopping prescribed treatments. However, CBG can be a valuable complement that strengthens the barrier and calms inflammation between flares, which may reduce the need for cortisone over time.
Why jojoba oil instead of regular moisturizer?
Jojoba oil is technically a wax ester that resembles the skin's own sebum. It absorbs deeply without forming a plastic film on the surface. Many conventional moisturizers contain petrolatum and fragrances that can irritate eczema skin.
Does CBG help with the itching?
Eczema itching is driven by inflammatory mediators, particularly IL-31. CBG modulates the production of these signaling molecules via CB2 receptors. Many users report noticeably reduced itching within the first week, though full effect builds over time.
Strengthen the barrier – calm the inflammation
Eczema needs more than moisturizer. CBG works with your skin's immune cells and supports barrier repair from within. Give your skin the tools it needs to heal.
