CBD for sensitive skin – less is more, right is everything
Sensitive skin has become an epidemic – and the skincare industry bears much of the blame. More products isn't the answer. CBD offers a minimalist alternative that actually strengthens skin.

What makes skin sensitive?
Sensitive skin reacts with redness, stinging, tightness, or itching to stimuli that normal skin handles without issue. It can be genetic, but more and more people develop sensitive skin later in life – often as a consequence of excessive skincare use.
Modern skincare culture urges us to use more and more active ingredients: acids, retinol, vitamin C, niacinamide – ideally all in the same routine. The result is a skin barrier broken down by too many aggressive substances. The skin has literally received too much love of the wrong kind.
A compromised barrier lets irritants through and loses moisture. Nerve endings in the skin become hyperactive and react to everything – temperature changes, products, even water. It's not weakness – it's the skin's distress signal. The solution starts with scaling back and rebuilding the barrier.
Tips for sensitive skin
Simplify radically
Reduce your routine to three steps: gentle cleanse, active treatment, protective oil. Every new product you remove gives skin a chance to recover.
Always patch test first
Apply new products to a small area along the jawline and wait 24 hours. Sensitive skin can react with a delay – be patient and don't force the process.
Avoid fragrance
Perfume – both synthetic and natural – is one of the most common causes of skin reactions. Choose products that smell like nothing. There's no reason your skincare should be fragrant.
Give your skin time
Don't switch products every week. Give skin at least four weeks on the same routine before evaluating. Sensitive skin needs predictability to calm down.
How CBD helps sensitive skin
CBD's strength for sensitive skin lies in its ability to modulate rather than stimulate. Instead of forcing the skin in any direction, CBD helps the endocannabinoid system recalibrate – inflammatory signals are dampened and barrier function is supported.
Research shows CBD interacts with TRPV1 receptors in the skin, the same receptors that regulate pain and heat perception. By modulating these, CBD can reduce the hypersensitivity that makes sensitive skin so reactive.
Our DUO-kit is designed with minimalism in mind – no perfumes, no unnecessary additives. The ONE (10% CBD) and I LOVE (10% CBD + 5% CBG) give sensitive skin everything it needs without anything it doesn't. TA-DA Serum with CBG offers extra calming support during periods when skin is extra reactive.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my skin can tolerate CBD?
CBD is generally well-tolerated, but always do a patch test first. Apply on the inside of your wrist or behind the ear and wait 24 hours. Our products are free from the most common allergens.
Can CBD make my skin less sensitive over time?
Yes, that's exactly the point. By strengthening the barrier and calming the oversensitive nerve response, skin can gradually become more resilient. It's a process, not a quick fix.
Do your products contain fragrance?
No, our face oils and serums are completely free from added fragrance, perfume, and essential oils. What you smell is the ingredients themselves – hemp, jojoba, and CBG.
Fewer products. Better skin.
CBD gives sensitive skin exactly what it needs – calm, support, and respect. Nothing more, nothing less.
