Cannabinoid Skincare
Cannabinoid skincare – the science your esthetician didn't mention
Your skin has its own signaling system that controls inflammation, oil production, and cell renewal. Cannabinoids speak its language. This isn't about trends – it's about biology.

The endocannabinoid system – skin's hidden regulator
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) was first discovered in the 1990s, and research into its role in skin is still relatively young. The ECS consists of receptors (CB1 and CB2), endocannabinoids that the body produces itself, and enzymes that break them down. The system exists throughout the body – including in keratinocytes, sebaceous glands, hair follicles, and immune cells in the skin.
The skin's ECS regulates three central processes: inflammation, oil production, and cell proliferation. When the system is balanced, skin functions as it should. When it falls out of balance – through stress, environmental toxins, poor diet, or inadequate skincare – problems like acne, dryness, redness, eczema, and premature aging emerge.
Despite this knowledge, the vast majority of the skincare industry ignores the ECS completely. Products are formulated without regard for the system that actually governs skin health. It's like trying to communicate with someone without speaking their language. Cannabinoids like CBD and CBG offer exactly that missing language.
Understanding cannabinoids in skincare
CBD vs CBG vs CBC
Each cannabinoid has unique properties. CBD works indirectly on receptors and calms inflammation. CBG binds directly to CB1 and CB2. CBC has shown potential for cell renewal. Full spectrum delivers the broadest effect.
The entourage effect is key
Cannabinoids work better together than alone. Terpenes, flavonoids, and multiple cannabinoids in synergy create an effect stronger than any single compound. Always choose full spectrum.
Topical vs oral use
Cannabinoids in skincare are absorbed locally and interact with ECS receptors in the skin without reaching the bloodstream in significant amounts. This delivers targeted effect without systemic impact.
Concentration matters
Token amounts of cannabinoids make no difference. Look at actual concentration – not just whether CBD appears on the label. Meaningful levels start at one to three percent.

Full-spectrum cannabinoids from 1753
1753 SKINCARE is built on the premise that skincare should work with skin biology, not around it. All our products contain full-spectrum cannabinoids – not isolate, not broad-spectrum, but the entire plant profile with CBD, CBG, terpenes, and flavonoids intact.
The DUO plus TA-DA bundle gives you a complete cannabinoid profile: The ONE with 10 percent CBD, I LOVE with CBD plus CBG, and TA-DA Serum with 3 percent concentrated CBG. Together they cover the full spectrum of what the ECS in your skin can receive and work with.
This isn't skincare that covers up symptoms. It's skincare that communicates directly with the system governing skin health. The science behind the ECS confirms what we've always believed: skin knows what it needs – it just needs the right tools.

Frequently asked questions
What is the endocannabinoid system?
The ECS is a biological signaling system found throughout the body, including the skin. It consists of receptors, endocannabinoids, and enzymes that regulate inflammation, oil production, and cell renewal.
Are cannabinoids in skincare legal?
Yes. CBD and CBG from industrial hemp with under 0.2 percent THC are fully legal in Sweden and the EU. Our products contain no intoxicating substances.
How does cannabinoid skincare differ from regular skincare?
Conventional skincare applies substances from the outside. Cannabinoid skincare interacts with the skin's own regulatory system (ECS) and helps it function optimally from within.
Do I need to use all cannabinoids?
No, but a combination delivers broader effects. CBD and CBG complement each other well. Start with a CBD oil and add CBG serum if you want to maximize the entourage effect.
